Lyndon Holland is a BAFTA Award winning Composer who has worked on such Video Game titles as Virginia, Poi & Aviary Attorney.
After taking an undergraduate degree in composition, Lyndon was accepted to study at the prestigious National Film and Television School, which at the time took only four applicants a year. Over this two year Masters degree, he honed his skills in composing for narrative and programming interactive music.
After graduating in early 2014, Lyndon has worked with Variable State on their debut game, Virginia, serving as Composer, Sound Designer and Co-Writer. The multi BAFTA nominated game, published by 505 Games, was critically praised for its use of music, which was recorded with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
in 2017, Lyndon was awarded the BAFTA for Music in a Video Game for his work on Virginia.

I just a won a BAFTA. I definitely still haven't processed the surreality of this situation. What an incredible honour. Thank you to everyone at BAFTA that nominated Virginia for Best Music. I never in my life thought I would ever win one of these iconic awards!
Virginia wins UK Writers Guild Award
January 23, 2017
It's a great honour to say that Jonathan Burroughs, Terry Kenny and myself have received the Writers Guild award for Best Writing in a Video Game for Virginia. It was such a privilege to even be nominated in this category alongside FiFA 17 and Fragments of Him, but to walk away with the award was something else, especially considering Virginia has no dialogue!
Virginia has almost been nominated for 4 IGF Awards, including Audio, which I am super excited about. The awards are held in early March this year.

After about two and a half years of working with Variable State, Virginia has finally shipped on PS4, Xbox One and Steam. It's been a long journey, but I am now glad to part ways with it and send it into the hands of the public. I hope people get as much enjoyment out of playing the game and listening to the music as much as I enjoyed working on it.
City of Prague Philharmonic
May 13, 2016
I've returned from the recording session in Smecky studios in Prague where I recorded the Virginia soundtrack with the City of Prague Philharmonic. It went as smooth as I could have hoped. All the music got recorded and we only had about half an hour to spare, so it was timed just about right. The only issue that came up was a few transposition mistakes on the alto flute part, but that was easily correctable on the day - I will be triple checking my scores from now on! I look forward to mixing all of the tracks and getting them in game. It will be a longer process than you may think as the interactive music system demands all the pieces split up in to hundreds of elements, which are then placed into Fmod. I have to admit I'm not looking forward to re exporting all the stems ...
Poi now on Steam Early Access
November 06, 2015
I've been working with Polykid on their game Poi for a few a months and it's now been released on Early Access via Steam. There is a still a bunch of temp music currently in the game that will be replaced, but you can try out the game for yourself. If you are a fan of 90s 3D platformers, such as Mario 64 & Banjo Kazooie, Poi may interest you!
